Traditional Puglian
building methods meet
Le Corbusier aesthetics in
a villa that mirrors the sea.
Specchio di Mare is a stunning, modern villa with an impressive 40 metre infinity pool and sea views. It is an ideal holiday home for families and groups of friends who appreciate contemporary design, extensive, private grounds and a scenic setting.
The Emma Villas Concierge Team will be at your disposal for any urgency or need during your stay. All telephone numbers are provided with the sending of the travel documentation.
The impressive structure of the villa is nestled in a landscape peppered with ancient olive trees. Here you have easy access to sandy beaches and the picturesque, historic towns of Polignano and Monopoli. After sampling the local wine and produce from nearby restaurants and food shops, you will quickly discover why this part of Italy has a reputation for its exceptional cuisine.
The light-filled living space has been set up with colourful modern seating for gathering together in style, while tropical indoor plants, artworks and a design library give it a homely feel. Unique design features include a large bathtub with a sea view, a Gyrofocus hanging fireplace, a sliding glass roof and vintage designer furniture. Step inside to a central living space and your eye is immediately drawn through tall windows to the surrounding, panoramic views of the countryside. An inviting, long pool extends out from the terrace and seems to touch the Adriatic beyond. There is even a characterful, traditional trullo house in the garden to complete the idyllic scene.
Each of the bedrooms and bathrooms has been carefully designed to be both comfortable and practical for families and friends. There are two double bedrooms and third bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, so well set up for one or two families with older children. A top of the range kitchen will delight the foodies in the group while the wisteria and jasmine covered outside eating area provide ample opportunity to enjoy long al fresco meals together.
You can even try your hand at making pizzas in the traditional outdoor pizza oven. A refreshing dip or long laps in the pool is an invigorating way to cool off in the heat of the day before a siesta in one of the sun loungers. Here you really can experience ‘la dolce vita’.
